Our team is a hand-picked crew of talented professionals from diverse backgrounds, from artists to academia, global tech to remote community elders. Together, we work tirelessly to create an inclusive platform that celebrates our heritage, foster cultural exchange, and drive positive change, sharing a mission to preserve and uplift indigenous cultures for generations to come.

A Symphony of Diverse Voices

At The VA Network, we celebrate a team that is reflective of our ideology, in a true diversity. Our collective is a composition of individuals from every corner of the globe, representing people of backgrounds, cultures, belief systems, roles in society and native lands. We call this a true diversity, beyond the superficial, embracing the richness of experiences and perspectives from all walks of life that each team member brings. This is not just a team; it’s a living testament to the power of unity in diversity. From storytellers to cultural custodians, our team is united by the belief that the right stories, the ones that resonate with the soul and spark positive change, are those that reflect the collective wisdom of humanity. We select narratives not just for their artistic merit, but for the transformative impact they carry. Here, every voice matters, and together, we curate a tapestry of stories that echo the true heartbeat of our diverse world.

What started as a symbol drawn in the sand continues today as a symbol for all of humanity to reclaim themselves, their heritage, & their future.

The genesis of The VA Network is a testament to the visionary spirit of our founder, Dig, and the indomitable direction set forth by Andrew D Flanagan. Together, they embarked on a journey to create a platform that would transcend boundaries, amplify unheard voices, and celebrate the rich tapestry of indigenous stories from around the world.

In 2022, under the guiding protocols drawn in the sands of Wiradjuri country, Dig and Andrew laid the operational foundations of this project. These protocols, etched with reverence and wisdom, became the guiding stars that illuminated the path toward a platform dedicated to cultural exchange, storytelling, and positive impact.

Though Dig has passed on, his memory lives vibrantly within the stories he set in motion. Andrew continues to steer the ship, honoring the protocols and imbuing each aspect of The VA Network with the essence of their shared vision. Every story curated, every impact made, is a living tribute to the legacy forged by these pioneers. As we forge ahead, we carry the spirit of Dig with us, honoring his commitment to making the world a better place through the power of indigenous storytelling.

As part of the One Fire Festival, we invite you to gather around a virtual campfire like no other. Our Campfire Sounds are more than just crackling embers and gentle winds; they are the harmonious rhythms of Indigenous artists’ worlds. These captivating audio landscapes are created by the artists themselves, who share their sacred fires burning on their ancestral lands. As you immerse yourself in these evocative sounds, you’ll be enveloped in the warmth of their stories and culture, forging a deep connection to the heart of Indigenous artistry. Join us for this unique fireside experience, where the flames dance to the beat of Indigenous wisdom, and the stories of their lands come alive
